TechEx at IDEB 2026: C-UAS and Fiber-Optic UAVs for Europe

TechEx participated in the IDEB Defence & Security 2026 exhibition in Bratislava from May 12–14, presenting its current line of unmanned systems to defence ministries, procurement officials, and industrial partners from across Central Europe and NATO.

Held under the patronage of the Slovak Ministry of Defence, IDEB brought together manufacturers and government delegations at a moment of significant defence investment across the region—underscored by Slovakia’s concurrent showcase of its newly delivered F-16 Block 70 Viper aircraft and updated air defence architecture.

TechEx exhibited two flagship platforms at the event. The Stalker UAS series—built around fiber-optic control links—operates outside the radio-frequency spectrum, making it resistant to the tactical electronic warfare environments that have defined drone operations in Ukraine. The Stalker Striker Mini, a dedicated C-UAS interceptor capable of engaging targets at speeds up to 325 km/h, was presented as a cost-effective solution for neutralising loitering munitions at the platform level, before they reach defended assets.

Both systems are in active operational use and have accumulated hundreds of combat sorties. TechEx has been an official supplier to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence for two consecutive years and maintains direct feedback channels with more than 80 frontline and air defence units—a feedback loop that shapes each hardware revision.

Beyond the product demonstrations, TechEx held bilateral discussions with several Central European counterparts focused on technology transfer, joint development arrangements, and the possibility of licenced local production of NATO-codified designs. The company’s position is that regional manufacturing capacity—not just imports—is the more durable path to collective readiness.

TechEx will continue engaging with NATO-aligned partners on co-development and integration in the coming months.
